  I wish to complain about a Mazda Dealership in Albany.
  I took my Mazda BT 50 vehicle to this dealership on Saturday 29th May 2021 at approximately 10:00 hrs informing Carol the warranty Manager that my crank battery had let me down upon several occasions (times four) within a ten day duration with starting early mornings in cold weather. I also made mention that the red indicator on the battery sight glass was showing red (charge reqd)
  I went on to explain to Carol that I had charged the battery with a 20amp soft start battery charger (mine) from 240v generator supply along with a three hour journey of the vehicle and that the battery had only just begun to fail in the three years since purchase from new.
  I was on holiday with my partner who was walking the entire Bibbulmun track from Kalamunda in Perth to Albany and it was imperative for me to trust the car to start as we were camping with towing a caravan in remote bush conditions.
  Upon my vehicle battery failing, I contacted via phone the Rockingham dealership (where I purchased from new) the maintenance Manager (Brian) who as always was most helpful and understanding of my situation and he suggested that I take the vehicle to the nearest dealership for testing and if the battery was found to be faulty a new cranking battery would under warranty be replaced.
  Carol informed me that the battery was no longer under warranty and batteries only come with a 12 month warranty. I expressed my disdain to her response and requested her position within the Albany dealership. I also mentioned that the Maintenance manager Brian from the Rockingham dealership had a different view to hers and I requested she speak with Brian for some clarification. After some dialogue with Brian on this issue Carol called Mazda Australia to be further informed that the battery was under warranty.
  Tests of my battery then took place of which the printed outcome was that my battery was good. I queried the outcome as to why the battery sight glass was indicating charge and not starting my car in the mornings? Carol did suggest that we leave the vehicle with them overnight for them to put the battery under an 8 hour charge. I declined due to my caravan being parked some 25km’s away and unable to get to camp. No attempt to offer us a complimentary vehicle to get us around our sticky situation was given.
  Upon travelling home the following day, my crank battery failed again in the early morning cold. ...... So much for the dealership testing of my battery being good???? Needing to get a jump start from fellow campers close by.
  Upon arriving home I took the vehicle to Mandurah Mazda. The technician conducting

  Based upon a comparison of two Dealerships just mentioned, I have concluded the following.
  1. If my car under warranty were ever to breakdown within the Albany region, I would have my vehicle towed home or I would push her home rather than allow the Albany dealership management / technicians touch my vehicle. A battery issue isn’t too complicated an issue to fix one would think of which I enlightened these people in Albany too my concern and problem. If a battery failure cannot be determined goodness knows how they will go on with a more technical issue?
  2. The warranty person Carol displayed a characteristic consistent with the testing of the battery; below par in friendliness and professionalism missing the mark and obviously not up with company knowledge or policy regards to warranty.
  I do sincerely hope that with me taking the time and effort to write of this pathetic attempt by the Albany Dealership in the way they accommodated my situation, that they may change their ways because they are way ..... way behind Rockingham and Mandurah in every aspect with a failure to help / assist their / your Mazda Customers.

  Just bought my new Mazda from Albany and love it. The staff were fabulous. No pressure from this dealership... Our second car from the dealership in past couple of years.
